Plan Ahead God does

The commanding voice of ultimate faith spoke into the darkness. The darkness trembled, light burst forth and each time the voice spoke another faucet of creation manifested itself. The voice continued until all was complete including the making of man. Since the beginning of time when God made man, He created us in His image, body soul and spirit. Psalms 139:14 says, “I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” How true that is, especially when you think how a baby is formed in its mother’s womb. A tiny egg implants itself into the wall of the uterus and with the right temperature, environment and nutrients it becomes a mini person. This amazing miracle is performed within the shelter of the womb, to protect the fragility of life until its appointed time of delivery.
Each of us begin life with our own unique set of fingerprints, DNA and personality. Such evidence bears witness that we are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made. However, let’s take a closer look into the makings of who we are and the components which holds us together. One of those components is a protein called Laminin. Laminin is found in the “extracellular matrix” the sheets of protein that form the substrate of all internal organs. Simply put this protein is vital to making sure our overall body structure holds us together. Improper production of Laminin can cause muscles to form improperly, leading to a form of muscular dystrophy and other problems. However, the most amazing part of this unique protein is that it resembles a cross. The same shape which was used to crucify Christ. A shape that speaks of God’s plan for humanity long before it would ever come to be.
It’s as if God, when planning our design made sure His signature would be forever imprinted within us. The intricate design of human flesh, muscles, nerves, tissue and other components we are made of didn’t happen by accident. We were planned, predestined and called by God to fulfill a specific purpose. For example the prophet Jeremiah was called by God to be a prophet while he was still being formed in mother’s womb.{ Jer. 1:5} This is evidence that God looks ahead into the immense span of time and plans our life long before we are born. He already knows the day and time we will accept Him into our lives .. Or not! Consider the prophecies of the Old Testament concerning Christ’s birth and death. God began to speak to His people about a coming savior hundreds of years before it ever happened. And of course, it all happened just as it was prophesied.
God’s plan for this world and us is unshakable. Nothing can keep it from coming to pass, not the devices of man, or even the devil. God’s spoken Word stands as a testimony of truth, which cannot be defeated. God’s written word clearly states we are His creation, planned and purposed from the foundations of the world. I’ve mentioned just a few references of how God planned and even evidence of His imprinted signature within our very being. This clearly shows we are not the result of some big bang theory. We are divinely created, complex being of body, soul and spirit. So complex it takes doctors many years of education to understand how our body functions; to say nothing about the specialized fields needed to treat a variety of illnesses, which have become so prevalent today, including mental illness.
Why, do we struggle with so many weaknesses and infirmities? Possibly because we’ve become such a fearful people. We have trouble trusting the God who created us and wants a relationship with us. This lack of trust and belief in God causes us to become fearful and anxious, which results causes stress and stress is linked to numerous medical and mental problems. Yet, God’s heart filled with compassion and love and touched by our infirmities. So much so, his hand of love intervenes on our behalf whenever we seek Him in prayer. He offer us wisdom, guidance, peace, joy, comfort and many other benefits. Jeremiah 29:11 says ” For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future. ”
If you’ll trust Him, He offers you peace, comfort and rest. In Him there is no need to fear the future. For his very signature is imprinted in your very being. He’s promised you a hope and a future. On that, you can depend, because God plans ahead.
