Summer Paradise

Hi friends and crafters. I  haven’t posted anything for a few weeks  because I wasn’t feeling well.  But I’m feeling better and trying to caught up everything.  Today’s card is titled  Summer vacation. Imagine yourself relaxing on an island somewhere  with nothing to do but soak up the warm summer sun.   This card was inspired one I saw on Pinterest. I really like the triple labels which gives it a unique look and makes it easy to design.   20180712_131202I created triple panels with 110lb white card stock and used a die cut from Die’sire / crafters companion.  I cut another set of labels out of decorative paper that fit my summer  Paradise theme.  But you can use any kind you wish.  Then cut them down to fit the panels and  glued them in place.  Next I used die cuts to cut out two beach chairs {Impression Obsession} in white cardstock. Then used a seagull die cut { from Impression Obsession added a touch of Memento flannel grey ink on the wings and body   For the words I used Tim Holtz die cut word set, cut them out in white cardstock and set those die cuts aside for later.  Next I die cut three sets of  palm trees landscape pieces. ( Elizabeth craft dies}  I used a sponge dauber to color the top of the palm trees with Memento Cottage Ivy green ink and the bottom is colored with  Peanut Brittle and Toffee Crunch  Memento ink.  After the inking was done, I  cut the pieces down to the size needed for each panel.  The two little houses are from  Penny Black. I cut two sets out of white and yellow cardstock, but only used two of the house from the set.  I glued the yellow layer behind each of the white houses then glued them in place on the left side of the palm trees, and attached the piece to the bottom of the card base.  Next I glued the chairs, seagull in place. I also die cut a small circle  out of orange cardstock  and added a sun on top of it.  Lastly I added the words summer paradise vacation across the top.   I hope you enjoyed the summer paradise card and if you have any questions or what to know more about the die cuts I used leave a comment or use the contact form to send me an email.   Next week I’ll be sharing a panel card made with Heartfelt creations Sweet as honey collection.

Happy crafting. J. Wallace
